Who is responsible for this data?

Established in: Ireland
As a personal blog with no commercial data processing at scale, no Data Protection Officer is required.
What data this site collects
Analytics — Matomo (self-hosted)
This site uses Matomo Analytics, installed directly on the douli.com server. Matomo records standard web analytics data: pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), browser type, device type, and how you arrived at the site (referrer).
Matomo is configured with IP anonymisation enabled — the last two octets of your IP address are removed before storage. No analytics data is sent to a third-party server. It stays on douli.com.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (understanding how the site is used in aggregate to improve content).
Cookie consent — CookieYes
This site uses CookieYes to manage cookie consent. CookieYes stores a small cookie on your device to remember your preferences. It does not share your data with third parties.
Spam protection — Akismet
If you leave a comment on this site, Akismet (by Automattic) processes the comment text, your name, email address, website URL, and IP address to check whether it’s spam. Akismet is a US-based service; data is transferred under standard contractual clauses. Automattic’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (preventing spam in a publicly visible comment section).
Translation — GTranslate
This site offers optional language translation powered by GTranslate, which uses the Google Translate API. If you use the translation feature, the page content you are viewing is sent to Google’s servers for translation. Google’s privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
Translation is off by default. If you don’t use the translate button, no data is sent to Google.
Legal basis: Consent (you initiate translation by clicking the translate button).
Image optimisation — Imagify
Images uploaded to this site are compressed using Imagify. When an image is uploaded, it is sent to Imagify’s servers for processing and returned in optimised format. Imagify does not retain images beyond the processing operation. Imagify’s privacy policy: imagify.io/privacy.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (site performance). This processing applies to site administration only — no visitor data is involved.
Caching — WP Rocket
This site uses WP Rocket to cache pages for performance. WP Rocket does not collect or transmit personal data. It stores cached files on the server only.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, douli.com’s hosting provider may retain standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, pages requested, HTTP status codes). These are used for security and technical diagnostics, are not used for marketing, and are deleted on a rolling basis per the hosting provider’s data retention policy.
